Welcome to Weavers Weft!

Hi! I’m Mary Ann, and I started Weavers Weft on Etsy in December 2024. The response was fantastic, and thanks to our wonderful community, I now have my own website! Weavers Weft is an online weaving yarn and supplies shop based in Connecticut.

A little about me: I’ve been weaving since 2020 and I’m a member of the CT Handweavers Guild. When I first began weaving (during Covid), I was completely overwhelmed trying to learn on my own and figure out which fibers to use. As I read and experimented, I learned that Maurice Brassard yarns were the top choice for weavers. Since they’re manufactured in Canada, I wasn’t sure of the best way to buy them, and all the fiber types and sizes were a bit… well, a lot overwhelming!

My professional background is in importing and logistics, so sourcing yarn from Canada and getting it to weavers reliably was a problem I knew how to solve. I started Weavers Weft to make the journey easier and more fun for other weavers. Because who doesn’t love browsing beautiful yarns and dreaming up color combinations?

Most orders ship same day, and everything ships within one business day, so you can get back to your weaving. Local pickup in Connecticut is also available.
