Welcome to Weavers Weft!

Hi! I’m Mary Ann, and I started Weavers Weft on Etsy in December 2024. The response was fantastic, and thanks to our wonderful community, we now have our own website!

A little about me — when I first began weaving (during Covid), I was completely overwhelmed trying to learn on my own and figure out which fibers to use. As I read and experimented, I learned that Maurice Brassard yarns were the top choice for weavers. Since they’re manufactured in Canada, I wasn’t sure of the best way to buy them, and all the fiber types and sizes were a bit… well, a lot overwhelming!

So I started Weavers Weft to make the journey easier — and more fun — for other weavers. Because who doesn’t love browsing beautiful yarns and dreaming up color combinations?

We began with Maurice Brassard 8/2 cotton, a longtime favorite among weavers, and soon added Brassard Cottolin — the natural next step for many projects. Then it was 8/4 and Perle (Mercerized) Cotton and we’re not stopping there! Please reach out and let us know what you’d love to see us add next.
