Leclerc End-Feed Shuttle

An end-feed shuttle feeds weft through an adjustable tension device at the tip rather than off a free-spinning bobbin, which means every pick lays in at consistent tension and your selvedges take care of themselves. Works best with smooth, plied yarns from fine to medium weight - 8/2 cotton, 5/2 cotton, and comparable wool or linen are ideal. Not suited to bulky or rug-weight yarns, slubbed or uneven yarns, ribbon, metallics, or monofilament, which can't pass cleanly through the tensioning device. Also called an end-delivery shuttle. Crafted from Canadian maple by Leclerc Looms, this hand shuttle measures 13" long x 1-3/4" deep x 1-3/8" high and weighs 6.8 oz including the pirn. Includes one professional 6-1/4" wood pirn. Replacement pirns available in sets of 12.
