16/2 is the fine end of the Brassard cotton range, roughly half the grist of 8/2, and it makes cloth that 8/2 simply can't. Smooth, tightly twisted, and strong enough for warp, it's what to reach for when you want drape, detail, and a lighter hand.
Lovely for fine tea towels and napkins, handkerchiefs, lightweight scarves and shawls, lace weaves, and anything where you want the structure to show rather than the yarn. It also makes a beautiful accent alongside 8/2.
