Leclerc Boat Shuttles

Leclerc's Canadian maple boat shuttles are the workhorse of the floor loom - beautifully balanced, smooth in the hand, and built to throw cleanly across the shuttle race pick after pick.
Choose the Slim or Small for table looms and lighter yarns, the Regular for everyday floor loom weaving, the Large (with a 6" bobbin) for wide warps, or the Double-Bobbin shuttle to carry two wefts at once.

Leclerc End-Feed Shuttle

An end-feed shuttle feeds weft through an adjustable tension device at the tip rather than off a free-spinning bobbin, which means every pick lays in at consistent tension and your selvedges take care of themselves.
Works best with smooth, plied yarns from fine to medium weight - 8/2 cotton, 5/2 cotton, and comparable wool or linen are ideal. Not suited to bulky or rug-weight yarns, slubbed or uneven yarns, ribbon, metallics, or monofilament, which can't pass cleanly through the tensioning device.
Also called an end-delivery shuttle. Crafted from Canadian maple by Leclerc Looms, this hand shuttle measures 13" long x 1-3/4" deep x 1-3/8" high and weighs 6.8 oz including the pirn. Includes one professional 6-1/4" wood pirn. Replacement pirns available in sets of 12.
Reed & Heddle Hooks

The right hook makes threading go faster and saves your back. Also called a sley hook or threading hook, these Leclerc hooks pull warp ends through heddle eyes and reed dents in one smooth motion.
Sizing is about reach - the deeper your loom's harness, the longer the hook you'll want:

Inserted Eye Heddles - Set of 100

Inserted eye heddles have a smooth, oval-shaped eye that lets warp threads ride through without abrasion - a real difference-maker with delicate or sticky yarns. The rounded eyes keep heddles from catching on each other, so they slide easily along the heddle support when you redistribute them.

Leclerc Weaving Temples

A temple (also called a stretcher) holds your weaving out to its full width as sleyed in the reed, preventing the draw-in that causes broken selvedge threads, uneven edges, and abraded warp at the reed. If you weave towels, blankets, or rugs - anything wide - a temple will pay for itself in saved selvedges and fewer broken ends.

Leclerc Flat Shuttles

The simplest shuttle is sometimes exactly the right one. These smooth maple flat shuttles (also called stick shuttles) are ideal for rigid heddle looms, sampling, pick-up work, or any project where you only need a few rows of a color.
The knife-shaped edge does double duty, letting you beat the weft into place as you go - especially handy on rigid heddle and frame looms.

Wood Pirns for End-Feed Shuttle - Set of 12

Professional 6-1/4" wood pirns sized for the Leclerc end-feed shuttle. Wind a full set before you sit down to weave and you won't have to leave the bench until the warp is done.
Unlike bobbins, pirns are wound in a tapered spiral so the weft feeds off the end smoothly through the shuttle's tension device - the key to those crisp, even selvedges.

Texsolv Heddles - Set of 100

Quiet, lightweight, and easy on your warp. Texsolv heddles are made from strong, durable polyester in a no-knot construction that won't stretch - they slide silently along the heddle supports and are a favorite for weavers who find metal heddles noisy or hard on fine threads.

Flexible Netting Needles

These slim flexible nylon needles do what a wood shuttle can't - slip through tight sheds for pick-up work, inlay, and netting without disturbing the warp.
Strong and flexible enough to carry a supplementary weft through areas a wood shuttle would catch on. Useful for tapestry details, clasped weft, and small color inlay.
